The grand daddy of all Tarantulas is the Goliath Bird Eater and although the name says that, they do not eat birds as they are a deep burrowing species found in South America.
It is the largest Tarantula in the world and can weigh up to 6 oz and have a 12 inch leg span.
It is aggressive but also a very hardy species which makes it a great addition to any experienced collector. Known to spend lond periods of time in its burrows.
